You have found the Founding Father, "George Washington" page. The more I read and learn about our Founding Fathers, the more I am amazed at their education, intelligence, and most of all, their wisdom. While they certainly were not perfect human beings, I hold them in much higher esteem than the current bunch of self-serving political whores we have in Congress currently.
While I have many favorite Founding Fathers, George Washington is my absolute favorite. He was considered to be the most honorable man among his peers and given the awesome responsibility of overseeing and facilitating the body of the Constitutional Congress during the creation of the Constitution of the United States. (Managing the many personalities of so many men while crafting the greatest governing document for the benefit of all mankind would no doubt have been a great challenge!) After the Constitution of the United States was adopted, George Washington retired quietly to his home.
But after the Constitution was adopted, a president was needed. After all the bickering and infighting, the Founding Fathers, again, unanimously called upon George Washington. George resisted initially, but then relented and agreed to become the first president of the United States.
As the first president, George Washington understood the importance of the office and that EVERYTHING that he would do would set precedents for all presidents who would succeed him. Just as he did as a military general, George Washington served honorably as the first president of the United States and as Commander-In-Chief. In my studied opinion, no president since has ever exceeded George Washington's honorable legacy.
There is so much written about George Washington. It is not my intent to reproduce everything here, but instead to highlight key notes followed by a list of the best resources. If you know of and highly recommend material for this page, please feel free to do so using the About-Contact Me page. As always your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

I don't presume to be the sharpest tool in the shed. I stand on the shoulders of many people greater than myself by attempting to bring together the best sources of reliable information, giving credit where credit is due. I try my best to research and connect the dots to get to the truth of the matter. Don't just take my word for it. Do your own homework to know the subject, and understand what you know, so you can speak knowledgeably with others. Keep your mind open to new ideas and information and then analyze it using the good common sense that God gave you to arrive at an informed conclusion. Question BOLDLY. Respect other people, their opinions, and their property.
