Posted December 1, 2014. This article, "The Case Against Liberal Compassion (Imprimis, October 2014), expressed more eloquently what I have have clumsily tried to cobble together. The Liberals have it so much easier than conservatives when it comes to values. It's easy to comfort someone when they are down and out, sick, out of work, etc., and need help. All of us have been in need at some time or other and we are grateful for a helping hand. The difference, in my opinion, is that Liberals make themselves feel good by giving a hand-out instead of a hand up. The United States has gone from people who were self reliant to people who have grown dependent on government welfare.

Families, friends, and Churches have been replaced by a Godless nanny State. ~ Rodney Spooner
